Gender and Sexuality Awareness for Staff

This course covers key terminology, identities and challenges that LGBTQ+ people face in the University and society in general, as well as exploring the benefits individuals and organisations such as UoE can gain from building diverse and inclusive work/study/research environments.

By taking this course you will be able to:

  • Describe challenges LGBTQ+ people face in the workplace and society
  • List the benefits of building an equal, diverse and inclusive workplace
  • Identify gender and sexual orientation terminology
  • Outline what you can do to promote respect and inclusion for LGBTQ+ people in the workplace
