Jewish Staff Network

Welcome to the Jewish Staff Network, a diverse community of Jewish colleagues from across the University. We celebrate the richness of Jewish identity in all its forms—religious, cultural, and secular—and promote a space where diverse perspectives are valued and respected.

Whether guided by religious or secular thought, the Jewish Staff Network is rooted in the principles of multicultural learning and ethical pluralism, supporting dialogue, connection, and collaboration.

  1. To provide a supportive space for Jewish staff members to meet and share experiences, issues, and concerns, and to promote thoughtful understanding of diverse Jewish beliefs and voices at the University of Edinburgh and beyond.
  2. To work alongside the University to foster an inclusive environment and culture.
  3. To nurture thoughtful approaches to addressing antisemitism and interconnected anti-racist struggles, while fostering intercultural connections, within and beyond Jewish communities.
  4. To support networking that will enrich events relevant to Jewish histories, cultures, beliefs and scholarship.
