Gender Equality Subcommittee The Gender Equality Subcommittee is a thematic committee of the University Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Committee (EDIC). Race Equality and Anti-Racist Subcommittee (REAR) The Race Equality and Anti-Racist Subcommittee (REAR) is a thematic committee of the University Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Committee (EDIC). The University of Edinburgh will take action against racism in its various forms (personal, cultural and institutional). We do not wish to be complicit through silence and inaction. We wish to establish an ethos and culture that promotes inclusion, respect and dignity and has a zero-tolerance approach to any form of discrimination. Disability and Inclusion Subcommittee The Disability and Inclusion Sub-Committee is a thematic committee of the University Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Committee (EDIC). Faith and Belief Subcommittee The Faith and Belief Sub-Committee is a sub-committee of the University’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Committee (EDIC). The Sub-Committee provides a sounding board for conversations, topics and events affecting the University of Edinburgh communities of Faith and Belief. For clarity, the Subcommittee acknowledges that Belief also includes humanist and non-religious beliefs. LGBT+ Subcommittee The LGBT+ Committee is a thematic committee of the University Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Committee (EDIC). The Committee aims to improve the experiences of LGBT+ students and staff through taking community-informed and strategically aligned actions, while providing constructive challenge and active support to EDIC.
