Gaelic Connection: A Gaelic EDI Glossary

We are thrilled to present Scotland’s first EDI Gaelic Glossary. Including Scottish Gaelic, a native, living language of Scotland, in our services and resources contributes to the University’s commitments to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion. This Gaelic glossary includes words and phrases relevant to EDI, connecting our work with Gaelic at the University.

Two people listing a gaelic book

It is great to see Gaelic represented across University services. As a minority and native language of Scotland, initiatives such as this contribute more generally to the promotion of equality and inclusivity, locally and nationally. I hope this glossary will be of use to students and staff at the University.

—Isla Parker, Gaelic and Community Relations Officer
