Join us to celebrate the achievements of incredible, pioneering women making monumental steps in highlighting and combating one of the most important issues facing our society today. You could help us bring inspiring female role models to prominence and combat the erasure of women’s achievements from history. As part of the event, you will create Wikipedia biographies for notable women missing from the 5th most visited site in the world. You will help us change the fact that just over 18% of the biographies on Wikipedia are about women. No prior experience of knowledge is necessary! Tea, coffee and nibbles will be provided. Anjali is also the co-founder of global network for women in tech Ada’s List, with over 8000 members. She was one of the top 100 BAME UK Tech Leaders announced by the Financial Times in 2018, and was shortlisted for Woman of the Year at the Asian Achievement Awards in 2019. She is also a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (RSA). The lecture was held on the evening of 7 March 2018, McEwan Hall, Teviot Place. Lecture theme was "Investing for everyone - can Finance help close the gender equality gap?” 8th March 2018 - a Wikipedia editing event held to celebrate #Vote100 as an important milestone on the road to universal franchise.
